I am Eric Shooman, a young entrepreneur sharing my knowledge through my blog, The Boston Entrepreneur. I am an MBA candidate with a 4.0 GPA at the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. Babson is ranked as the #1 Entrepreneurial program by U.S. News & World Report. I am a former business owner of Project Assemble LLC, www.ProjectAssemble.com (the website is still active becuase A) I am proud of it, and B) the developer is young and uses it for his portfolio). Project Assemble was my first business. A business which I am proud of, and a business that failed. I made mistakes while running Project Assemble; mistakes that turned into priceless learning experiences. My goal is to share my gained knowledge of entrepreneurship from other blogs, podcasts, research, course work, and most importantly my personal experiences (even from my failed business).

Hi Eric,
I was reading your blog “Enterprise 2.0 Winner” and I thought it was very interesting because of my social media and social enterprise work at JustMeans.
You are right, business social networking offers promising opportunities but is often incomplete or without clear results. Through my work at JustMeans, I confront these challenges by creating a direct dialogue between individuals and companies concerning topics of social responsibility. Because these companies and individuals connect through shared interests in the environment, microfinance and other initiatives, the JustMeans model of social networking produces real partnerships and change.
If you think JustMeans could be interesting for your readers, let me know because I can line up a phone chat between you and our founder and CEO, Martin Smith, or a behind the scenes tour of our platform.
Thanks,
Ashley Fidel

Eric,
Great to come across your blog here . Your “about” description mirrors to the “T” my exact experience… until the MBA part. I started a business called Fresh Press Media, a PR and marketing services firm, and while I learned an incredible amount from it, it also failed. I’m in the process of getting ready to apply to MBA programs so your blog is a great resource! Shoot me an email. I’m in Newton.
